Within the last couple of weeks it has truly been an adventure with my daughter. We have been testing out our voice and the different noises that we can make. We have started to reach for things and we love to sit up straight. She has learned how to comminicate with her "boyfriend" Jackson. It is really funny to see the two of them interact. She is just growning so big before my eyes. We can almost roll over from our back to our stomach but our little arms get in the way. I can see my daughter becoming more independent each day. Tonight is the first night she is sleeping in her big girl crib. I am happy that her crib is finally her but I am also happy she still lets mommy hold her bottle for her. I can see the changes and I want to go back to when she just layed in mommy's arms quietly.

This year Thanksgiving was at Aunt Nikki's house. Mikayla weighed a good 8lbs and the turkey weighed 19lbs. Thankful Mikayla was still small enough that she could sleep next to the turkey. Next year I'm pretty sure she will be up trying to stick her hands in it.

Natalie just turned 7 this November, and she is such a big help. When trying to run around and get things ready for Halloween she was more than willing to watch Mikayla. Every chance Natalie and Dylan get they love to kiss her and give her love. Mikayla and Mommy are thankful for the extra helping hands, and of course the extra sweet kisses!

When I was born on October 31, 1988 I was brought back to my parents in this pumpkin outfit. My mother had decided that it was probably a good idea to keep the costum. Luckly 22 years later when trying to decide what my daughter was going to wear for her first Halloween my dear mother had told me about the pumpkin outfit. I thought it was the best idea in the world. So for my little one's first Halloween she was what her mother was on her mother's first Halloween.

Aunt Deba or known crazy lady up here in Kissimmee, came to visit little miss Mikayla the very first week. While Aunt Deba was up here she kept insisting on getting the perfect little toes picture. I think she finally got one that she liked. Also Mikayla was possing for many pictures that week. I really don't think that she minded at all though. She was too busy sleeping and eating through the pictures. It was very nice of Aunt Deba to take the pictures that she did and we thank her very much!

Mikayla's first couple of days.

Mikayla Nichole was born September 22, and only weighed 4lbs 8oz. She started smiling within the first hour that she was in our arms. With all the struggles that the both of us went through we both came out fighting. We are truly blessed that everything was working the way it should have been. I am looking forward to many more blessed moments with her.
